Born on Avenue D,
rooted in community
Aroma began as a one-oven dream in a corner of the East Village. What started as weekend baking for neighbors quickly became something the whole neighborhood leaned on — the morning loaf, the birthday cake, the Sunday breakfast table.
We've stayed small on purpose. That means every sourdough starter is fed by hand, every pastry is shaped by the same pair of hands that shaped it yesterday, and every customer is known by name.
Twenty-five years later, the oven still fires at 3 a.m., the bell still rings at sunrise, and the smell still pulls people in from the street.
